Anthony James Dochtermann , 25, was shot around 2:55 a.m. and later died at the hospital from his injuries, according to police. Police received a 911 call about a shooting at the Ashton Woods Apartments at 3927 Hahns Lane from a friend Dochtermann was visiting. "He went outside and it sounds like he got shot," the caller told the dispatcher. "He walked outside, like he was leaving." Later in the call, the friend said Dochtermann, "doesn't know who shot him or anything." The friend helped Dochtermann while on the phone with 911, telling the dispatcher Dochtermann was still awake and breathing, but "bleeding a lot." FOXBORO — In a twist in the probe of an alleged email bomb threat to Gillette Stadium, the girlfriend of the man charged in the incident has been arrested and police are examining her cellphone. Devon Lamarre, 22, of 236 South Main St ., in Attleboro, allegedly claimed in an interview with police that she sent the email and lied to police earlier in the investigation. She allegedly claimed that she had access to the email account of her boyfriend, Ryan Ringuette, on her phone and that he used her phone to access the account. However, police noted in a report that Lamarre did not know who the email was sent to, the number of emails or other details. When questioned about the email, Lamarre allegedly responded “what it says in the news.” Earlier, when Ringuette, 25, a former part-time employee at the stadium was charged, she allegedly told police she had no access to his phone and did not know his password. BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Catalan authorities say a woman injured in an attack in a popular seaside town south of Barcelona has died. The woman, who wasn't named, is the first fatal victim of the attack late Thursday in Cambrils, about 130 kilometers (80 miles) south of Barcelona. A Jacksonville police officer shot a man multiple times Sunday morning after, Sheriff’s Office officials said, he took the officer’s Taser during a struggle and pointed it at the officer. The shooting followed a foot chase that began when police responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute, heard a woman screaming and discovered a woman being strangled by a man on top of her inside an apartment at the Cleveland Arms apartment complex about 8:45 a.m. Devanta DeJuan Jones , 22, was shot at least four times by Officer Cliff Sames of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The shooting happened after Sames and another officer tried unsuccessfully to stun the man, later identified as Jones, three times with their Tasers during the pursuit in which Jones kicked in the door, then ran through a neighboring apartment occupied by a mother and three children. LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- A 1-year-old boy that fell nine floors from the window of a high- rise apartment building Wednesday night has died from his injuries, police say. A sergeant with the Lakewood Police Department said police were notified of the child's death late Wednesday night . Police received a call about the fall at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Police Sgt. Steve Fioritto   said. The child fell from the ninth floor of the Castlewood Apartments in the 17600 block of Detroit Avenue. Police estimated the boy fell 72 feet . The boy was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS. Fioritto said investigators are not currently looking into any sinister scenarios surrounding the child's fall. "We're looking into everything, but that's not an angle we're specifically looking into right now," Fioritto said. CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have identified the suspected gunman in a fatal Charleston restaurant shooting and his victim. Thomas Demetrius Burns , 53, of Charleston, is the man police say opened fire at Virginia's on King Thursday afternoon , according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis . Burns was shot by Charleston Police after a hostage standoff, according to Interim Police Chief Jerome Taylor . Burns was transported to MUSC for treatment and was listed in critical condition Thursday afternoon . There have been no updates on Burns's condition since then. The restaurant's executive chef, 37-year-old Anthony Shane Whiddon , of Goose Creek, died after being shot. Whiddon was the executive chef at Virginia's on King Street where the incident took place. SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - A longtime city council member in Scott City, Missouri is acting as mayor after the mayor and city administrator resigned . According to City Councilman Gary Spinks , the two resigned on Monday, August 14. Longtime City Council member Norman Brant has taken over the position of mayor. He said former mayor Ron Cummins and Diann Ulmer contacted him late Monday afternoon . Brant said Cummins felt the way the city has been torn apart wasn’t going to get any better if he stayed in office.  He left, Brant said, in hopes of the community healing and coming back together. Police saw the man stumble across the parking lot and enter the truck. As the man drove away a piece of unsecured furniture was thrown from the truck into the parking lot. The man was pulled over and arrested after failing field sobriety tests . He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Reports said the man refused to take a breath test and "refused to cooperate with the booking process." WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Village Park Woodgate Apartments have been at the center of two headlines for murder in just a few months which has at least one resident wanting to move. Two people have been killed by alleged suspects with guns, one in October and another in December at the apartment complex. One resident says she no longer feels safe . “I do not, not any more,” the unidentified woman said. The woman says she wants leave, finding a place to live where she will not be exposed to such serious crimes, but she says the apartment management is holding her to her lease.  The woman says she would have to spend around $900.00 to break her lease.
