Drunken driver loses load and gets long list of citations: Brunswick Police Blotter
BRUNSWICK --- Drunken driver, Hadcock Road: Police responded to the area of Woodgate Apartments at 10:25 p.m. June 29 in response to a report of an intoxicated man to drive a Ford truck. Police saw the man stumble across the parking lot and enter the truck. As the man drove away a piece of unsecured furniture was thrown from the truck into the parking lot. The man was pulled over and arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Reports said the man refused to take a breath test and "refused to cooperate with the booking process." He was released after being issued citations for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession, having an unsecured load, obstructing official business, and not wearing a seat belt.
Littering, Pearl Road: Police received a call from a motorist at 1:50 p.m. June 9 that another driver had thrown a beer can at the victim's car. The victim and her passenger followed the suspect to a house on Ruby Lane in Brunswick Hills Township. The driver denied throwing the beer can - which was later found on Stone Creek Drive - but said it may have fallen off his truck. The man was cited for littering from a motor vehicle.
