Anthony James Dochtermann , 25, was shot around 2:55 a.m. and later died at the hospital from his injuries, according to police. Police received a 911 call about a shooting at the Ashton Woods Apartments at 3927 Hahns Lane from a friend Dochtermann was visiting. "He went outside and it sounds like he got shot," the caller told the dispatcher. "He walked outside, like he was leaving." Later in the call, the friend said Dochtermann, "doesn't know who shot him or anything." The friend helped Dochtermann while on the phone with 911, telling the dispatcher Dochtermann was still awake and breathing, but "bleeding a lot." COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A toddler was pronounced dead at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Thursday evening after being pulled from a pool on the city’s north side. Columbus police responded to a pool at Worthington Meadows Apartments just after 7pm. They told NBC4 they believed the child was a 2-year-old boy. Sgt. Stan Latta said three patrol officers attempted to resuscitate the child before a medic took him to the hospital. The boy, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at 7:45pm. Police said the boy’s mother was with him at the pool, which was near the apartment complex on Wellingshire Boulevard. The pool was still open for the season. Neighbors said they got to the pool shortly after this happened Thursday and said the child’s mother was screaming and pleading for help. Robert Yancy , died on Monday night, August 15, after he suffered a heart attack, according to TMZ . The son of Grammy-winner,  Natalie Cole , 65, and the grandson of the late iconic, Nat King Cole , was only 39-years-old. Yancy’s body was reportedly found inside his San Fernando Valley apartment by a friend who decided to check up on him after not hearing from him. Family members told the site that authorities contacted them at 2:30 AM on Tuesday, August 15 and informed them that Yancy had died of a heart attack. An autopsy report is currently pending, according to authorities who informed the site. They have listed Yancy’s death as a result from natural causes. An 18-year-old accused of fatally shooting a man in North Little Rock pleaded innocent Thursday to first-degree murder. Danny Dednam entered his not guilty plea in North Little Rock district court before District Judge Jim Hamilton set his bond at $250,000. Dednam is charged in the death of 22-year-old Keon Woodson. Authorities on Tuesday found Woodson slumped over inside a vehicle at Summertree Apartments at 5600 Summertree Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Prosecutors told Hamilton that “there is video surveillance in addition to five cooperative witnesses” that place Dednam at the scene and show the shooting, which purportedly took place at an Exxon gas station at 3800 Camp Robinson Road , about 1.2 miles south of the apartment complex where Woodson was found. Dednam was arrested Wednesday afternoon at 1807 Elm St. in Little Rock after he fled from North Little Rock to Little Rock by vehicle and then on foot.

BAYTOWN, Texas - A man was killed, and a woman was injured Friday in a double shooting in Baytown. Baytown police are looking for a person of interest in connection to the shooting. The name of the person who police said drove away in a black car has not been released.  Police were called just before 5 a.m. to The Bridge at Shady Hill Apartments in the 3400 block of Shady Hill for reports of a shooting. Investigators said someone kicked in the door of apartment 76B, confronted Lloyd Trim , 38, and Jasmine Gonzales, 20, and shot them both multiple times . The Trim, who lived in the apartment, was pronounced dead, police said. Gonzales was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital. She was listed in stable condition. "I drove like 80 miles from Garth to get here to my kids, what if one of those bullets would have went and hit my sister or my kids?" Neighbor Kristin Trajo said. Brittany Moody was trembling with tears in her eyes Wednesday afternoon as she described the moment the father of her children was killed on Fourth Avenue in front of his three children. “The only thing I could do was close my eyes and scream,” said Moody, who is four months pregnant with one of Tamir Harris’ 12 children. “He shot him in my face.” Moody said Harris, 33, was standing outside of a car speaking with her mother Tuesday morning as his 2-year-old stood by his side. She said she sat in the backseat of the car with her 1-year-old daughter. Harris’ friend sat in another car with Harris’ 11-month-old baby, according to Moody’s account of the incident. HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (AP/CLARKSVILLENOW) — A Kentucky woman whose daughter drowned in a swimming pool is facing a homicide charge in Tennessee. News outlets report 25 -year-old Kristin Mays of Elkton, Kentucky, was arrested on a criminally negligent homicide charge on Tuesday in connection with the death of her 7-year-old daughter on Aug. 12. Detective Sgt. Jim Vaughn with the Hendersonville police said in a news release that Mays failed to maintain visual supervision of the girl while they were at the swimming pool at a Hendersonville apartment complex . The girl was discovered underwater in the deep end of the pool and pronounced dead at a hospital. Mays is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 27. It’s unclear if she has a lawyer. A 19-year old Hispanic male was shot and killed last night in the 83-300 block of Gemini Street in Indio. The victim suffered from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on scene. The shooting occurred around 9PM near the Summerfield Apartments.  Our cameras were there as Indio Police and Riverside County Sheriff 's Deputies secured the area with crime tape. Witnesses on scene say there was a party at one of the apartment units, when multiple shots were fired. BENTON HARBOR, MI – On August 15th, 2017, at approximately 11:45PM, Officers were dispatched to the River Terrace apartment complex in the City of Benton Harbor to investigate a call of a shooting. BHDPS officers responded and found a 32 year old man had been severely wounded by gunfire. The man was taken to Lakeland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Nathaniel Lee, a 32-years-old, of Benton Harbor. Lee’s cause of death was by gunfire. Benton Harbor DPS is seeking a suspect by the name of Davion Turner. Turner is 5’11” and weighs around 150 and has his hair in Dreadlocks. Turner is presumed to be armed and dangerous. Another man, Antonio Hall was interviewed and was arrested for unrelated violations from the Michigan Department of Corrections. DANVILLE – The Danville grand jury has indicted two people with murder in connection with the Sept. 11 shooting of Paul Andrew Harper Jr . at Woodside Village Apartments in Danville. Police found Harper lying in the road in the 100 block of Woodside Drive suffering from gunshot wounds at approximately 11:23 p.m. The 19-year-old was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead by emergency department staff . Tevin Lavar Stokes , 23, of Henderson, N.C., and Lashawntey Gabriel Smith , 23, of Buffalo Junction are being held without bond in the Danville City Jail . Stokes is charged with capital murder , robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, Smith is charged with first-degree murder and robbery. The investigation is continuing.
