Two charged in Woodside Village murder
DANVILLE – The Danville grand jury has indicted two people with murder in connection with the Sept. 11 shooting of Paul Andrew Harper Jr. at Woodside Village Apartments in Danville.Police found Harper lying in the road in the 100 block of Woodside Drive suffering from gunshot wounds at approximately 11:23 p.m. The 19-year-old was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead by emergency department staff.
Tevin Lavar Stokes, 23, of Henderson, N.C., and Lashawntey Gabriel Smith, 23, of Buffalo Junction are being held without bond in the Danville City Jail.
Stokes is charged with capital murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony,
Smith is charged with first-degree murder and robbery.
The investigation is continuing.
