SPRINGFIELD -- Four suspects, squatters in a Worthington Street apartment , were arrested on heroin and cocaine charges Thursday night after police raided the place, a department spokesman said. Narcotics officers executed their warrant at 900 Worthington St ., Suite 3, at about 8:30 p.m., Sgt. John Delaney said. People outside the building yelled out warnings as police initiated their raid. The four men were arrested after police found them hiding inside closets and a bedroom, Delaney, public information officer for the department said. Police seized $1,164 in cash along with heroin and cocaine that was packaged for sale and drug paraphernalia. Arrested were: Daquan Fortune, 27, of 1231 Bay St.; Bradley Davis, 27 ,of 755 Worthington St .; Eric Williams, 25, of 10 Federal Court; and Rysheim Smith, 23, of 317 Peekskill Ave. They were charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Police responded to the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive, at Shadowood Apartments , where they found Che Ruiz bleeding heavily from bullet wounds in his right and left legs.  Ruiz told police three unknown men were trying to break into his mother's car.  He confronted them, and said they ran away toward a car.  Ruiz then shouted to someone else to get the tag number of their car, and that's when Ruiz said one of the men shot at him twice.  If you have any information on the crime, call Crime Stoppers at 436-TIPS. SHREVEPORT, La. - The Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that injured two men earlier this morning. Just after midnight today, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reoprts of shots fired and a man injured in the 2300 block of Marion Street. When they arrived at the scene, officer located Christopher Taylor , 40, lying beside a vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was transported to University Health Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.  As Taylor was transported away, officers were notified that another shooting victim arrived at University Health Hospital by private vehicle.
