(“Landmark” or the “Company”), a multifamily real estate investment trust with assets located in select metropolitan areas throughout the Southern United States , announced today that it has entered into a definitive merger agreement (the “Merger Agreement”) pursuant to which it will be acquired by Monument Partners, L.L.C. (“Monument”), an entity owned by affiliates of Starwood Capital Group and Milestone Apartments Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: MST.UN) (“Milestone”), in an all- cash transaction valued at approximately $1.9 billion, including the assumption of existing debt. Elliott has three days to appeal the ruling, according to NFL rules. "Say no to rent control" says locking down a rent price might sounds like a great idea, but it can have serious consequences. The group is composed of landlords, contractors and others who say the proposed initiative is reckless and extreme. They say housing policy is complicated, and should not be decided by referendum. ► Overall, Maine housing is considered 'unaffordable' The group Fair Rent Portland , which brought forth a rent stabilization initiative intended for the November ballot, says the initiative is modeled after West Hollywood, California and Takoma Park, Maryland. It happened in my apartment complex Thursday afternoon in Mckinney, TX between 4pm-4:30pm. I did not arrive at my apartment until around 6:30pm, but from the pictures that I took, the police were still there quartering off part of the area with yellow tape. A total of six cop cars and two unmarked cars were there with detectives and forensics investigating the scene. Upon walking up to one of the cops, he quickly told me that everything was ok and after I repeatedly asked him the question and told him that I lived here and had a right to know, he rose his tone and then said, if you want to know, talk to the manager of the complex.   That would be nice, except that the manager of the complex was gone for the day. So I know that if I ask management what happened tomorrow, I will get a pass the ball response, in which they will most likely tell me to contact the police for information. At 11:55 a.m. Thursday, a Fairview West resident told police they found a body under a low-hanging bush near their house in the 2600 block of Bowie Lane, according to Corinth police Lt . Jimmie Gregg. Authorities believe it is Draper's body, but the medical examiner has not officially confirmed his identity. Gregg said police don't suspect foul play . He would not elaborate on any potential injuries or wounds found on the body.
