Man assaulted neighbors claiming they blocked his garage

A man is accused of assaulting his neighbors in Austin after claiming they were blocking his garage according to an arrest affidavit. Brent Grablachoff, 36, was charged with assault with injury to the elderly, a third- degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. His victims were a 65-year-old man and the man’s 68-year-old wife who said they did not know him, the affidavit said. It said the incident happened Tuesday at apartments at 9520 Spectrum Drive in a part of Austin in Williamson County . The male victim said he and his wife were packing up boxes to move to Oregon in their vehicle parked in front of their apartment building, the affidavit said. It said he saw a man — later identified as Grablachoff — pull up in a car, get out of it and start yelling at his wife about moving their vehicle. The man said that as he stepped forward to protect his wife, he saw Grablachoff try to grab the keys out of his wife’s hand but she pulled her arm away, the affidavit said. It said Gr...

Man killed in Fort Worth apartment knew his shooter

A robber was fatally shot in the head Tuesday afternoon after he and another man burst into an apartment in southwest Fort Worth demanding “everything,” a witness said. Apartment resident Brad White , 21, said he was with his girlfriend and their month-old baby, along with a male roommate, when two men rushed in. “They came in and started fighting us, trying to gouge our eyes out,” White said. The roommate told the robbers to get out. One did, but the other refused, White said. The roommate shot the robber once in the head. “My friend didn’t hesitate — he knew I had a baby in there and he shot him,” White said. The shooting was reported shortly after 1 p.m. at the Cameron Creek Apartments in the 5200 block of Bryant Irvin Road in the Cityview area of southwest Fort Worth . White said it happened on the second floor of the 200s building. Police did not identify the dead man, saying only that he was 35. Authorities say the bodies of a man and a 3-year-old girl have been found in a wetlands area near Lawrence, and a woman who is believed to be the girl's mother was fatally shot about 10 miles away. (KCTV5) LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV/AP) - Authorities say a man fatally shot a woman outside a Douglas County home before killing their 3-year-old daughter and himself near wetlands roughly 10 miles away. The Douglas County Sheriff 's Office said Tuesday morning that autopsies on the three killed have been completed. They have been identified as 41-year-old Peter Sander of rural Douglas County , 36-year-old Erin Berg of Maryville, MO and Mazey Berg. Deputies said Sander shot and killed Mazey and then shot himself taking his own life. Law enforcement officials found Mazey and Sander near Erin Berg's vehicle at the Baker Wetlands.
