Completion date for Macy's building renovation pushed to 2018

Image
SPOKANE, Wash --- Construction on the old Macy’s building in downtown Spokane will not be completed until next spring. The first two floors of the former Macy’s building were set to open for retail use as early as November. Some set-backs in construction, like flooding in the basement, has pushed back the opening date until spring. When the downtown Spokane Macy ’s closed in January 2016, renovations quickly followed. Centennial Properties bought the building and announced a plan to renovate the first two floors into a new retail space with the remaining seven floors for residential use. The new building will be called “The M,” it will feature 109 units ranging from 750 square feet to 1500 square feet. There are no price ranges set for these apartments yet. There will be a rooftop deck for all apartments that is dog friendly, it will also have a kitchen, seating and firepits. Now, about a year after the plans were announced, developers said construction will take longer than expecte...

Aspen Chase Apartments - 22 Photos - Apartments - 2960 International Dr, Ypsilanti, MI - Phone Number

6 2960 International Dr Ypsilanti , MI 48197 (734) 434-0297 Aspen Chase is a good place to live. Relatively safe, good support staff and building managers. Beware, however, the rents advertised are not the rents you will end up paying. My apartment is supposed to be $699 but they charge extra $20 per month for my cat, plus extra monthly fees for the electric costs of the general property, garbage and sewage fees, plus administrative handling fees and water for the property. (This does include the water bill or the electricity bill I get for my individual apartment). I've never lived in an apartment complex where I had to pay an extra fee for garbage collection... Also, the fees change per month so it is hard to budget for them. (Average rent I pay total is $750-800). If they advertised the actual rents, I wouldn't have said no to taking an apartment here for $750 a month, it just feels really crappy to see all these extra fees for expenses that should be covered by the man...

Mother, Son Killed In Fire At Coventry Apartments

December 31, 1994 | By LAURA UNGAR; Courant Staff Writer COVENTRY — Three-year-old Jared Brelsford's tiny black bicycle stood outside the charred, icicle- covered apartment building where he and his mother, Lisa, died late Thursday . The two were killed in a three-alarm blaze that left 11 adults and nine children homeless. The fire destroyed their apartment and heavily damaged two of the seven others in the 100-year-old former St. Mary's Church at 62 School St. The Brelsfords -- whose names were confirmed by neighbors and co-workers but not fire or police officials -- were the third and fourth victims of fatal fires in Connecticut this week. Brelsford, 27, lived with her son in an upstairs apartment at 62-D Church Hill Apartments , where the blaze is believed to have started about 10:30 p.m. State and local emergency officials have yet to determine the cause. Neighbors and co-workers who knew the Brelsfords remembered Jared as a friendly, rambunctious preschooler who liked ...

Massive Renovation Helps Fountain Place Secure 500,000 SF in Renewals

May 25, 2017— A number of major renovation projects are in the works along Ross Avenue in downtown Dallas . Arguably the most significant is the redevelopment of Fountain Place , where owner Goddard Investment Group was the first to kick off activity in this cycle. The $ 70 million renovation includes office tower enhancements and a new 10-story garage with four plaza- level restaurants at its base. Additionally, AMLI Residential is developing a stunning new 45-story, luxury apartment high -rise at the corner of Field Street and Munger Avenue. The redevelopment of Fountain Place has been a key factor in securing renewals from five major office tenants . The latest to recommit is Bracewell LLP , whic¬h recently extended its lease for nearly 40,000 square feet. This follows renewals from Wells Fargo (123,650 square feet) and Gerald Ray (11,500 square feet) earlier this year. The first two big tenants to recommit were Tenet Healthcare (240,000 square feet) and Hunton & Williams...

Meridian Pointe Apartments - 10 Photos - Apartments - 407 Valley Ave NE, Puyallup, WA - Phone Number

9 407 Valley Ave NE Puyallup , WA 98372 (253) 840-8500 I moved from San Francisco to Puyallup (first mistake, but that is neither here nor there) and ended up in these apartments. First day, walked out on my "porch" to be visually greeted by an exposed beer-belly sitting on a completely upholstered couch , that was on his porch. Guess he didn't get the memo that there is indeed furniture that is made for the outdoors as well as clothing for bellies of that caliber. While this was disturbing, I will admit that there were some pluses to living at Meridian Pointe . Maintenance was pretty punctual about fixing things, neighbors were decent, and location is convenient to the highways. Also, PET FRIENDLY! But, in regards to pets, on my final walk through before moving out, a maintenance guy came to inspect my place, checked my carpet for pet damage, and told me it was in good condition . Then, I was charged for new carpet!? Dislike. Worst apartment ever. Moved in they charged...

The long retail spine of Sydney Road, Brunswick, just north of Melbourne's CBD, was once a prosperous trading outpost on the way to the goldfields. These days it's a bohemian mix of variety stores, op shops, halal butchers and Lebanese bakeries. Take a side street to the west, however, and a different picture emerges. Sandwiched between Sydney Road and the Upfield train line is an area undergoing rapid and widespread transformation. Light industry is fast being replaced by mid- rise apartment buildings , their inhabitants attracted by the short commute into town and cheaper prices than in the city's south-east. The quality of these units is, on the whole, depressingly bad; think poor ventilation and bedrooms that "borrow" natural light (a weasel word for being dark and windowless). The occasional jazzy façade tries feebly to make up for otherwise cheap construction amid a chorus of greys. At ground level, carpark roller doors alternate with mean pocket garden...
