One accused of possessing hoax bomb in Hunters Creek complex

One person was arrested and accused of possessing a hoax bomb after Orange County officials spent Thursday afternoon searching an apartment complex for explosives. Orange County deputies got a call about a possible bomb at the Camden Hunters Creek Apartments complex around 4:30 p.m., Orange County sheriff 's spokesman Jeff Williamson said. Officials evacuated some of the units at the complex and searched the area looking for anything dangerous, Williamson said. They did not find explosives, but did arrest one person. His name was not released Thursday night . They also closed Town Loop Boulevard at John Young Parkway , leading to traffic in the area. No injuries were reported. This is a breaking news story . Ohio man arrested for urinating in store’s beer cooler

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A toddler was pronounced dead at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Thursday evening after being pulled from a pool on the city’s north side. Columbus police responded to a pool at Worthington Meadows Apartments just after 7pm. They told NBC4 they believed the child was a 2-year-old boy. Sgt. Stan Latta said three patrol officers attempted to resuscitate the child before a medic took him to the hospital. The boy, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at 7:45pm. Police said the boy’s mother was with him at the pool, which was near the apartment complex on Wellingshire Boulevard. The pool was still open for the season. Neighbors said they got to the pool shortly after this happened Thursday and said the child’s mother was screaming and pleading for help. New arrest adds twist to Foxboro probe of threat to Gillette Stadium | Local News

FOXBORO — In a twist in the probe of an alleged email bomb threat to Gillette Stadium, the girlfriend of the man charged in the incident has been arrested and police are examining her cellphone. Devon Lamarre, 22, of 236 South Main St ., in Attleboro, allegedly claimed in an interview with police that she sent the email and lied to police earlier in the investigation. She allegedly claimed that she had access to the email account of her boyfriend, Ryan Ringuette, on her phone and that he used her phone to access the account. However, police noted in a report that Lamarre did not know who the email was sent to, the number of emails or other details. When questioned about the email, Lamarre allegedly responded “what it says in the news.” Earlier, when Ringuette, 25, a former part-time employee at the stadium was charged, she allegedly told police she had no access to his phone and did not know his password.
