The Edmond City Council this week voted 3-1 with one abstention favoring the commercial site plan for The Campbell, to be located north of Campbell, west of Jackson and south of Edwards. Councilwoman Elizabeth Waner cast the no vote and Councilwoman Victoria Caldwell abstained from voting. Variances include : • 10' front yard setback variances on Campbell and Edwards; • Parking requirement to include a 25 percent exemption for not only the non- residential square footage of the project but also the multi-family units in the project; and • Sign variance for blade sign to extend over the right-of-way. Two buildings with streetscaping will be constructed with shared parking between them. Facing Edwards will be building A, a 39,954 square foot 3- story building housing with 36 apartments, said Randy Entz, city planner. The Jackson council approved Crystal Creek Capital ’s mixed-use development at the base of Snow King Mountain last week. The Town Hill Lofts will have 43,000 square feet of residential space and 3,700 square feet of commercial space. The development at the eastern edge of the base of Snow King Mountain will include 34 market-rate units, ranging from 800-square-foot apartments to 1,300-square-foot lofts. There will also be four units that will house 100 percent of the building’s employees. Crystal Creek Capital said it might break ground in the spring. The only adjustment the council imposed as a condition of approval was reconfiguring all of the employee housing units to either studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom units.
