Man wanted for Murder at River Terrace Apartments in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR, MI – On August 15th, 2017, at approximately 11:45PM, Officers were dispatched to the River Terrace apartment complex in the City of Benton Harbor to investigate a call of a shooting. BHDPS officers responded and found a 32 year old man had been severely wounded by gunfire. The man was taken to Lakeland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Nathaniel Lee, a 32-years-old, of Benton Harbor. Lee’s cause of death was by gunfire. Benton Harbor DPS is seeking a suspect by the name of Davion Turner. Turner is 5’11” and weighs around 150 and has his hair in Dreadlocks. Turner is presumed to be armed and dangerous. Another man, Antonio Hall was interviewed and was arrested for unrelated violations from the Michigan Department of Corrections. Police: Appliance dispute ends in vehicle ramming, gunfire

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WOOD) –- Investigators are searching for suspects in a homicide at a Benton Harbor apartment complex . Around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Benton Harbor officers were called to River Terrace apartments , located off of 8th Street near West Britain Avenue . There, they found a 32-year-old Benton Harbor man who had been severely wounded by gunfire. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. Authorities are withholding his name while they notify his relatives. The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety says its officers are following leads and have questioned several people. The agency says the FBI’s Violent Gang Task Forces , Michigan State Police Major Crimes Unit and Berrien County Sheriff ’s Department are helping in the investigation. Man in court for deadly Benton Harbor shooting

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - A Georgia man, charged with open murder and felony firearm in connection with a fatal Benton Harbor shooting , was in court Friday. Shortly after 19-year-old Davion Turner was named a suspect, he turned himself in to police. Police were dispatched to the River Terrace apartment complex on August 15 to investigate a call of a shooting. Thirty-two-year-old Nathaniel Lee was severely wounded by gunfire. He was taken to an area hospital but died. Officers believe Turner was in Benton Harbor to visit his father, and that Lee had been sitting in a parked car when he was shot twice in what may have been a robbery. Turner's bond was set at $1 million with GPS monitoring. Turner will be in court next on Aug. 31 for a preliminary hearing.
