COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 22 indictments Aug. 23. The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance

Lisa Lee, Devon Moss

Police executed a search warrant on a Wildwood apartment and allegedly found distribution levels of cocaine. In the apartment were Lisa Lee, 35, and Devon Moss, 29, along with a 17-year-old girl who has not been named because of her youth.

Lee and Moss were indicted for possession of a CDS and possession with intent to distribute, each count in the third degree. The presence of the juvenile added a charge of endangering the welfare of a child, also third degree.

Ziyad I. Walker

A six-month investigation led police to execute search warrants on two residences, one in Wildwood and one in Rio Grande. Ziyad Walker, 31, of Paterson was arrested on drug charges. Walker allegedly carried heroin from Paterson to Cape May County for distribution. Walker was indicted for seven counts of distribution of a CDS, third degree and one count of distribution second degree.

Gabriel Valentin-Torres

During a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township, State Police found that one occupant, Gabriel Valentin-Torres, 21, of Trenton, was wanted on a National Crime Information Center warrant. She was processed and taken to Cape May County Correctional Center. A search allegedly found her in possession of metal knuckles.  She was indicted on a fourth-degree count of possessing a prohibited weapon.

Daniel O’Neill, Kirsten Ponak

Daniel O’Neill and Kristen Ponak were arrested for forging and cashing a string of five checks totaling $1,500.  The checks were cashed at an Ocean City bank. The two face a 13 count indictment including five counts of forgery, five counts of uttering a forged instrument to be true, two counts of conspiracy and one count of theft. All 13 counts were third degree.

Anthony G. Winter, Jahquees T. Johnson

Anthony Winter, 18, of Rio Grande, and Jahquees Johnson, 18, of Burleigh, were indicted on two counts of first-degree robbery along with a separate count of second-degree robbery. Also, Johnson faces two additional counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, third degree, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The two allegedly used force in robbing three juveniles ages 17 to 15. The weapon involved was a knife.

Nicholas Coffin

Nicholas Coffin, 20, of Westville, was indicted on one fourth degree count of possession of a prohibited weapon, metal knuckles.

Kamau Dawson

Kamau Dawson, 21, of Freehold, was indicted on two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, each count fourth degree. The incident occurred in Wildwood June 2.  The weapons involved were a knife and a pair of metal knuckles.

Cortney Baldwin

Cortney Baldwin, 25, of Wildwood, was indicted for fourth-degree forgery and uttering a false instrument. Baldwin allegedly tried to defraud the Cape May County Board of Social Services in March.

James Brennan

James Brennan, of Sea Isle City, was indicted for fourth-degree assault of a police officer.

James Cicchitti

James Cicchitti, 31, was indicted for theft and receiving stolen property, each third degree. The incident occurred in April in West Cape May.

 Melissa Macaluso

Melissa Macaluso, 31, of Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, third degree, possession with intent, fourth degree, as well as two counts of possession with intent within 1,000 feet of a school, third degree. Macaluso allegedly was dealing heroin and marijuana near Wildwood High School in May.

Anthony Ruhl

Anthony Ruhl, 29, of Sea Isle City, was indicted for second degree aggravated assault, two counts, for allegedly causing serious bodily injury to two male victims over the July 4th holiday weekend. He was lodged without bail at the Cape May Corrections Center.

John Anninos

John Anninos, 40, of Williamstown, NJ, was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, third degree.

Brandi Skinner

Brandi Skinner, of Wildwood, was indicted for fourth-degree criminal trespass.

Lamond T. Walker

Lamond Walker, 21, of Court House, was indicted for possession of a CDS, third degree, along with fourth-degree criminal trespass. The June 21 incident occurred in North Wildwood.

James Clouse, Anttoin Norris

James Clouse, 60, of Rio Grande, and Anttoin Norris, 42, of Edgewood, were indicted for possession and possession with intent to distribute heroin, along with actual distribution and distribution within 500 feet of public property. Three counts were third degree, and one count was second degree.

James Georginnis

James Georginnis, 47, of Wildwood, was indicted for circulation of a report of impending disaster, third degree, and false public alarm, fourth degree. In June, in Wildwood, Georginnis allegedly made a 911 call for an emergency knowing it to be false. He reported an impending crisis that caused the evacuation of a building.

Charles Haywood

Charles Haywood, 59, was indicted for defrauding the administration of a drug test, third degree, and possession of a device to defraud a test, fourth degree.

Amanda Larkin

Amanda Larkin, 21, of Villas, was indicted for third degree aggravated assault stemming from an incident in Wildwood in May.

Jamie Moncrief

After allegedly entering a car parked in Wildwood and removing personal property valued in excess of $500, Jamie Moncrief, 33, of Wildwood, was indicted for burglary and theft, each in the third degree.

Anthony Moyer

Anthony Moyer, 52, was indicted for theft, third degree.

Curtis Shaw

Curtis Shaw, of Wildwood, allegedly unlawfully entered a residence on Burk Avenue. He was later found to be carrying two utility knives. Shaw was indicted for third-degree burglary and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

The above individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
