WATERTOWN, NY  —  Mary Etta Campbell, 85, formerly of Centennial Apartments, Watertown, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, at St. Luke’s Health Services in Oswego where she had been a resident for five years.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at the Black River Cemetery, Black River, NY. Calling hours are noon to 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.

She was born in Watertown, April 30, 1932, a daughter to Howard and Helen Davis Campbell.  

Mary was a bookkeeper in the accounting department at the Watertown Daily Times for 30-plus years until her retirement.

Mary enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  

A brother, Charles Campbell, and a sister, Kay Burrows, both died before her..
