FAMILY HOTEL - Review of Gavimar La Mirada Club Resort, Cala d'Or

We visited the hotel at the end of July/start of August and on the whole found the hotel really good.

I have no complaints about the food and the bar and thought there was excellent variety and options available for everyone. The pool bar was good too with a small choice of snacks and the beer, from my point of view, was fine. The kids with us certainly made the most of the ice creams, slush's and fizzy pop !!

The entertainment staff work really hard, and we're always around with a friendly hello, hosted games to do through the day (water polo....1....2 ...3...sorry !!) and the effort they put in was excellent. Some of the evening entertainment was questionable and quite hit and miss, however our kids loved the mini disco and the Lion King was really good.

There were only a couple of negatives in terms of how slippy the floors in the resteraunt and near the rooms could be, as well as needing to be extra careful around the pool. Also the daily scramble for the sunbeds was fun although if people just talked to each other about how many sunbeds they wanted and where they wanted them that would help but it's no different to most other hotels.

That all said, I would certainly recommend the hotel to others. The hotel does exactly what it says on the tin, no more, no less however the staff are massively helpful and the kids liked the entertainment provided by Richie Coca-Cola (great name!!) and the rest of the team so a massive thanks you everyone at the hotel for making our holiday really great.
