BOUTIQUE appeal just off Sydney Rd gives a newly-launched Brunswick project an edge over others in the suburb’s rapidly growing apartment market, according to the agent.

There will be 19 apartments at HO-ST of Brunswick, which is about to spring up between the No. 19 tram and Upfield train lines and countless cafes in the hip inner northern hub.

Castran Gilbert agent Sharif Islam said three apartments at the 8 Hope St location had already been snapped up since the project’s mid-August launch.

“They’re all big sizes. One-bedroom starts at 61sq m internal space with a 12sq m outdoor area — so a 73sq m one-bedroom apartment,” he said.

“They’re generous, big apartments — that’s why people love it.”

The one-bedroom apartment provides the development’s entry price point at $459,000.

At the other end of the spectrum, a three-bedroom penthouse with 125sq m internal and 24sq m external space has already sold to a doctor at the nearby hospital precinct for $850,000.

Mr Sharif said professional owner-occupiers were the target market of HO-ST.

The remaining apartments are a mix of one- and two-bedroom designs, with one-bedroom pads ranging in price from $459,000 to $469,000 and in size from 61sq m to 64sq m internally.

Two-bedroom apartments range in price from $549,000 to $640,000 and in size from 71sq m to 87sq m.

Each apartment comes with a car park and the penthouse has two.

Mr Sharif said premium fixtures, fittings, optional integrated appliances and large island benches complemented HO-ST’s boutique size.

From the street, the design team aims to pay homage to the industrial history of Brunswick and Hope St through its exterior, modernised with the use of greenery.

Mr Sharif said buyers would enjoy public transport connections just around the corner, shops, cafes, restaurants and nearby Brunswick Market — all just a short trip from central Melbourne.

“It’s a very convenient location for everything,” he said.

Construction is expected to start in October and finish in about a year.
