BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Catalan authorities say a woman injured in an attack in a popular seaside town south of Barcelona has died. The woman, who wasn't named, is the first fatal victim of the attack late Thursday in Cambrils, about 130 kilometers (80 miles) south of Barcelona. Dartmouth teens face robbery charges after allegedly following man to apartment

Two teenagers are facing charges after they allegedly followed a man to his Dartmouth apartment and tried to rob him earlier this month. Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery on Primrose Street shortly after 3 p.m. on Aug. 2. Police say a 55-year-old man was followed by a young man and a young woman as he entered his apartment building. Police say the pair followed the man to his own apartment and then forced their way inside as he entered the unit. Police say the young woman had a rock while the young man had a knife, and they demanded the man’s property. The man stomped his feet on the floor, which got his neighbour’s attention, and they came to his aid. The suspects then fled the building on foot. Police say the man wasn’t physically injured and the suspects didn’t obtain any of his property. Casa Grande woman sentenced to life in prison for killing teenage daughter

CASA GRANDE, AZ - A Casa Grande woman has been sentenced to life in prison for killing her 13-year-old daughter. Connie Villa was sentenced to life without parole, plus 155.5 years for killing the teen, and trying to poison her three other children. Villa forced her children -- ages 3, 5, 8 and 13 -- to take " prescription narcotic drugs in an attempt to kill them" on Christmas Day in 2013. Aniarael Macias, 13, was found dead in the bathroom of her family's home in Casa Grande. "Connie Villa will spend the rest of her life behind bars for these horrific acts against her children," said Attorney General Mark Brnovich . "We wanted justice for the victims, who were attacked by their own mother on Christmas Day. The victims were consulted throughout the process and fully supported the resulting plea.
