A woman, who said she had a dating relationship with Elliott, reported multiple domestic violence incidents to authorities last year, including one in Columbus, Ohio, in July 2016 that led to a police investigation . She claimed Elliott assaulted her while the two were in a parked car and alleged he also had become violent toward her in the days prior. Jourdan Lewis, the Dallas Cowboys third round pick, will stand trial on Monday for one charge of domestic violence after a pretrial hearing on Thursday. Lewis, who was charged with the misdemeanor in March, allegedly grabbed a woman's neck and held her to the floor for several seconds before storming out of their apartment. Lewis asserts that any contact was incidental to him trying to leave the apartment. Police didn't see any injuries when they arrived. The trial will be held in Ann Arbor's 15th district court , where opening statements and jury selection will take place. Lewis is unsure if he'll be able to start training camp with his new team, but he and his attorney John Shea don 't seemed particularly concerned about the trial. "Some cases have to be tried," Shea said. "This is one of them."  This case is not news to the Cowboys. The former boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown will not face prosecution in a domestic violence case , Seminole County prosecutors announced this week. Sanford police arrested Nicholas Gordon on June 10 at the Arbor Lakes Apartments . His live-in girlfriend in that case said she did not want Gordon prosecuted , said Todd Brown, spokesman for the 18th Judicial Circuit which covers Seminole and Brevard counties. Gordon dated Bobbi Kristina Brown , who is the daughter of singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, up until her death in 2015. Gordon was found responsible in a wrongful death lawsuit and an Atlanta judge ordered him to pay $36 million to her estate. Prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, have said they’re investigating Gordon in her death but Gordon has not been charged. Seminole County prosecutors did not feel they could proceed to trial without the cooperation of Gordon’s girlfriend who also gave conflicting accounts of the incident, Todd Brown said. A Jacksonville police officer shot a man multiple times Sunday morning after, Sheriff’s Office officials said, he took the officer’s Taser during a struggle and pointed it at the officer. The shooting followed a foot chase that began when police responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute, heard a woman screaming and discovered a woman being strangled by a man on top of her inside an apartment at the Cleveland Arms apartment complex about 8:45 a.m. Devanta DeJuan Jones , 22, was shot at least four times by Officer Cliff Sames of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The shooting happened after Sames and another officer tried unsuccessfully to stun the man, later identified as Jones, three times with their Tasers during the pursuit in which Jones kicked in the door, then ran through a neighboring apartment occupied by a mother and three children.
