HOUSING developer David Wilson Homes Southern has announced it will invest more than £10 million in the Basingstoke area via developer contributions . The investment relates to two developments the firm has in the town, which together are expected to underpin around 2,500 jobs. The developer contributions money will be invested via Basingstoke and Dean Borough Council and associated planning agreements, with the final payment to be made before construction is completed. Overall £5m will be spent on improving local education , more than £3m on improving the town’s transportation system and nearly £2m will be put towards open spaces and community facilities.
