(Photo by David Larter) Two suburban Richmond apartment complexes have become entangled in the collapse of an Australian real estate company . The 278- unit Rollingwood Apartments in Chesterfield and the 297 1,184 -unit Seven Gables Apartments in Eastern Henrico are headed to foreclosure and will be auctioned Jan. 11 on the their respective counties’ courthouse steps. Both complexes are tied to the defunct Babcock & Brown, a massive real estate and infrastructure investment group once valued at $10 billion that went belly up in 2009. The two properties are part of a Babcock & Brown loan pool valued at about $200 million that included multiple properties and was ordered into liquidation. CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) – Charred remains are a scary reminder of how serious a simple mistake can leave people scrambling for their lives.  "I woke up out of my sleep and heard a bang noise and I looked on the balcony and there was fire coming down," said Alexia George who lived in the Rollingwood Apartments.  32 people were left without a place to stay after a building at the Rollingwood Apartment Complex in Chesterfield County went up in flames. It started on a third floor balcony.  And a small grill is the culprit. You may not believe that huge fire was caused by such a little grill, but it's true. The Chesterfield Fire Department says this is the reason why: we actually found that several people have these grills on their patios and they grill on them all the time and have no idea its illegal.  Chesterfield firefighters are going door-to-door making sure residents are aware of the law. HOUSTON (KTRK) -- After more than 48 hours without power, residents in an east Houston apartment complex are getting some relief. Electricians began working at 7 a.m. Monday, trying to restore power to 75 units at the Rollingwood Apartments which have been without power since Saturday afternoon. Eureka property management said people can relocate to another complex across the street which does have power and generators will be brought in on Tuesday. Electricians will also be back Tuesday to fix an underground wire, a problem that was discovered on Monday while fixing an old fuse holder. With a heat advisory outside, it is miserable inside the apartments without power. "We've been in hell, something. Hot, so hot for the kids. We had to stay in hotel for the last two days," Angelica Ruiz said. Her family doesn't have any more money for hotels, so they opened every door and window to try to cool down.
