Detectives from the Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section have arrested five suspects for a home invasion robbery that began on August 1 and continued into the morning of August 2 at an apartment in the 8800 block of Manchester Road in Silver Spring.  The suspects arrested are: Edwin Ajeo , age 16, of the 9000 block of Manchester Road in Silver Spring.  He is being charged as an adult.  He was arrested on August 10 and is being held without bond.  (A photograph of Ajeo will not be released because he is a juvenile). Younus Muayad Jafar Alaameri , age 23, of the 9000 block of Manchester Road in Silver Spring.  He was arrested on August 4 and is being held without bond. On Aug. 9, 2007, Lansing police discovered the beaten body of 46-year-old Debra Renfors in her apartment in the 1000 block of North Washington Street . A Morgan County grand jury has indicted a Decatur man on a burglary charge after he was shot in the chest while allegedly forcing his way into a Northwest Decatur residence and threatening its occupants. The Morgan County District Attorney 's Office reported Samuel Everett Elliott , 49, of 311 10th Ave. N.W., was indicted on a charge of first-degree burglary last month. No court records were available, but Decatur police reported at the time of the incident, in November 2016, that Elliott went to the residence in the 200 block of Seventh Avenue Northwest , forced his way in, and threatened the occupants. The resident contacted the police, who came and searched the area but did not locate Elliott . Police said Elliott later returned and again threatened the resident, who then shot him once in the chest. Elliott was taken to Huntsville Hospital with a gunshot wound that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to police. No charges were made at the time, but police said th...
